Estelle Cox (Auntie), 93 went home to be with the Lord and join her loved ones on March 7, 2012 at Windwood in Clinton. Born in Tennessee, she moved to Knoxville in 1940. She worked many years at Sanitary Laundry in Knoxville. In 1992, she moved to Clinton to be near her family to help care for her. Estelle was and will always be known for her loving heart. Her family and friends always had her support. The lessons in life she passed on to her loved ones will never be forgotten. She was a true example of a Christian lady. Her favorite thing in life was spending time with her family. She also loved birds, especially the red cardinal. Each time you see a red bird, think of our precious angel and the love she shared with us. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church in Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison Cox & Idella Curnutt; sisters, Ann LaMance, Pauline Hensley, Frankie Scarbrough.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 12:00 - 1:00p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
