Elton Van McClellan, age 85 of Clinton, passed away September 15, 2014. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Clinton and served as an honorary deacon. He was an US Navy and Air Force veteran. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason in the Alpha Lodge #376. Elton enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife in their RV.

Preceded in death by his parents, Hirim & Oma McClellan; brothers, Chalmer and Chestley McClellan; sisters, Lorene Scott and Jeanette Housley.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 18th from 6-8 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Bill Dawson and Dr. Michael Thompson officiating. Graveside service with military honors will be Friday, September 19th at 11:00 AM at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
