Elmer A. (Pat) Walsh, 92, Clinton, TN passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born in Peck, MI in 1923 to Elmer and Elva Sopha Walsh. He proudly served in the US ARMY in WWII as part of the 31st Infantry Division (Dixie Division) where he was awarded a Bronze Star for Valor, Combat Infantry Badge and numerous other awards. He retired from TVA and enjoyed many hobbies including square dancing, hiking, and gardening. He was a former member of the Foothills Craft Guild and was known for his blacksmithing. He attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oak Ridge. He married Joan Redmon Walsh in 1942 and was a proud father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, daughter Roseanne (Curtis) Boles, daughter Kathy (Joe) Petrolino, daughter Maureen (Paul) Phillips, daughter Melanie Walsh, son Patrick (Debbie) Walsh and daughter Michele Walsh. Grandchildren include Becky (Brad) Knight, Blake Phillips, Laura Petrolino, Terre-Marie Boles, Cayla Walsh, Aaron Walsh, Ramsey Walsh, Redmond Walsh, Robinson Walsh and one great-granddaughter, Tinsley Knight. Sister, Jean Lewandowski, Port Hope, MI, and many special neighbors and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Dorothy Capps, Doris Cole, Betty Marshall, Patty Severn, Kathleen Guitar and Viola Smith.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM Friday in ST. Theresa Catholic Church, Clinton, TN with FR. Michael Woods officiating. A military burial will follow at the TN Veteran's Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy. Knoxville at 1:30PM.
