Elise D. Moore died at home December 12, 2011, at the age of 100. She was born in Savannah, TN on February 21, 1911. During her life, she resided in Columbia, Knoxville, Hendersonville and Clinton, TN (25years). She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. She was a member of the XYZ Senior's Choir (Extra Year's of ZIP). She attended Sunday School and Bible Study Classes. She was also a member of Clinton Timely Topics Club. In the 1960's she lived in Knoxville and was the President of East High School's P.T.A. She worked at Miller's Department Store in the hat department. Later, in Hendersonville, she worked as a clerk at Payne's Dress Shop. She went to Hendersonville Baptist Church with country music singer, Johnny Cash and was personal friends with his mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harry E. Moore, Sr.; parents, James and Annie Morris Dickson; 3 brothers and 1 sister; grandson, John B. Dennis, III.
She is survived by five children:

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 15th, from 5-7PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Sam Dean and Rev. Stan Elliott officiating.
