Edward Leon Martin of Oak Ridge made the transition from this life to Eternity on July 22, 2017. Edward was a faithful member of Spurgeon Chapel AME Zion Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He accepted Christ as his personal savior and served him with gladness. He loved working with flowers and in his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed cooking, and he was a skilled concrete worker.
Edward was preceded in death by the love of his life his mother; Rena B. Hall, father; Sam Martin, step-father; Lamar Hall, sister; Eunice Faye Howard, and brother; Kenneth Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter; Tina (Richard) Whitt, and step-son; Eric (Nikki) Thomas; devoted grandchildren; Whitney Martin, Mariah Ard, Nicholas, Erica, and Brandon Thomas; and great-grand son; Jayden Johnson. Sisters; Diane Watson, and Connie (Elder Leon) Baker, brother; Michael Martin, and a special niece; Phyllis Harshaw.

He also leaves to mourn, a host of many nieces and nephews. Special friends; Yvonne Pittard of Oak Ridge, Willie Jean & Jimmy Robertson of Knoxville, Grady Hill, Scottie Ward, James Lewis, and Harry Guinn of Oak Ridge. He will be missed by many in the neighborhood. There was not one person whose life he did not impact.

We bid our dear father, brother, and grand-father a faithful servants' good night. We will see you again!
