Edith Joyce Reedy of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 9, 2020. She was 90 years old at the time of her death.

She is survived by her children; son Rolf Reedy, daughter Pam Reedy, husband Shelby Smith, Granddaughter Hannah Keathley, Grandson Austin Keathley, his wife Carrissa Keathley and their son, great-grand son Haiden Keathley.  She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Keith Reedy and her beloved husband, Kermit Reedy.

Joyce was born March 25, 1930 in Pruden, Tennessee.  She spent her childhood and early adult life in Middlesboro, Kentucky.  She was a cheerleader at Middlesboro High School.  She met her husband Kermit Bronell Reedy in high school and both she and Kermit believe it was love at first sight.  They were married 65 years at the time of Kermit's death in 2013.  Besides being an immaculate home maker and raising her three children, Joyce was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where for all of her adult life volunteered with many activities and held positions of organization in the church.  For many years she made the flower arrangement for the sanctuary for the Sunday Church Service.  She enjoyed plants and flowers.  She loved working in her yard and mowed her lawn with a push mower until the age of 85.  Joyce was also a long-time volunteer for the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge where she and fellow volunteers worked in the gift shop, the annual jewelry sales and shared in fund-raising activities.  If ever in the past 20 years you have walked into the lobby of the MMC and saw some beautiful flowers behind the service desk they would be donated and arranged by Joyce.  No Services will be held at this time.
