Hark! Our Lord and Savior came by and took one of His five star generals home to Heaven. Drusilla Harber passed away June 20, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Clinton. She was born May 29, 1928, in Briceville, TN to the late Alvis and Litha Duncan Melton. She attended Briceville Grammar School and Lake City High School. Drusilla was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church where she worked in Sunday School and Bible School with the children; preschool, juniors and intermediate. She worked with the Anderson County Fair and 4-H Club for several years and served as President of the Home Demonstration of Black Oak Club. Drusilla loved her family and will be greatly missed. She also loved crafts, quilting, sewing and painting.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack Vernon Harber; son, Rickie Jack Harber; brothers, Leon, Mose and Billy Joe Melton; sister, Della Braden Seiber, and Rosytine Graham.
She is survived by sisters, Emma Lou Smith, Carolyn Conkin; brother, James C. (JC) Melton, Sr. and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 24th from 12-3 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Raymond Conkin officiating.
