Dovie Ward age 89, of Caryville, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Campbell County. Dovie was born on April 10, 1922 in Anderson County, TN to the late Owen and Jane Seiber Brock. Mrs. Ward was a member of the Ivey Grove Baptist Church of Caryville. Dovie enjoyed working around her house and doing things like canning, cooking, quilting and gardening. Dovie will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Pearlie Ward; Sons, Jimmy and Johnny Ward; Daughters, Betty Ward; Granddaughter, Allison Hale and several brothers and sisters.

Dovie had 23 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 6 - 8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev.
