Douglas Spiva, age 67, of Clinton, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at The Waters of Clinton. Born on November 11, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana, Douglas was the beloved son of the late Andy and Ruth Spiva.

Throughout his life, Douglas was distinguished by his adventurous spirit. He was deeply passionate about all things related to motors. Whether it was riding dune buggies and 4-wheelers or attending car shows, Douglas found joy in these experiences. He dedicated countless hours to working on old cars, always embracing opportunities to share his interests and connect with others who shared his enthusiasm.

Douglas is survived by his daughters, Melinda Spiva Ferrell and her husband Will of Salt Lake City, UT, and Maria Spiva Taylor & husband Lee Jon of Clinton. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Maxine Taylor and Wylie Tate. Douglas is remembered by his brothers, Sidney Spiva and wife Judy of Clinton, and Larry Spiva and wife Carrie of Lake City, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Douglas will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  Holleygamble.com
