Dortha "Dot" Jane Foust Aslinger, age 78 of Clinton, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011 after an extended stay at Briarcliff Health Care Center of Oak Ridge. Dortha was born in Anderson County, TN on October 1, 1932 to the late Clarence and Magdalene Foust. She was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church in Lake City, TN where she faithfully served in the choir and as nursery worker. Dot was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Coal Creek Chapter 226. Dortha was the committed wife of the late Charles Edward Aslinger and the loving mother to Sarah Louise Aslinger of Knoxville. She was the loving grandmother to Joseph and Bethany Braden of Clinton. In addition to her parents and husband Dot is preceded in death by daughter, Nancy Marie Aslinger; Son, Larry Eugene Aslinger; sister, Wilma Foust Norman and twin brothers.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM with the Funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev. Keith Tillman, Rev. Tom Byrge and Rev. Larry Webster officiating. Interment will be held at the Oak Ridge Memorial on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11:00AM.
