Dorothy Brummett Ball, age 89 of Clinton went home to e with her Lord, Sunday, May 22, 2011. She was home with her loved ones. Dorothy left these words: "I'LL MEET YOU BY THE RIVER." She worked for years at Magnet Mills in Clinton before becoming a hairdresser. The things that brought her joy and happiness where spending time with her loved ones and working in her beauty shop at home. Through the years she has had many good times and laughs with her dear customers. She was and always will be known as a very giving and caring person. Dorothy was proud to be a Christian and wanted everyone to know her Lord. She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church in Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Carl Brummett and Hubert Ball; brother, Arnold Gibbs and sister, Ruby Rainey.

Granddaughter: Krista Greene of Knoxville
Step-Grandson: Terry Clowers of Oak Ridge

Special Grandbabies: Isaiah, Madelynn & Tucker Mack of Clinton
Daughters-in-law: Alice Brummett & Wanda Roberts of Clinton
Son-in-law: James (Pete) Greene of Clinton
Nieces: Wilma Lakers & husband Larry of Oliver Springs, Patsy McMillan,
Judy Cash
Nephew: Virgil Rainey

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 6-8PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral to follow at 8:00PM with Rev. Mack Smith officiating.
