Donna Elaine Davis Barnes, age 54, of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Donna was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, on November 11, 1971.

She had a special love for the beach, particularly Sanibel Island, Florida, where she enjoyed spending time by the water and searching for beautiful seashells. She also enjoyed sports, gardening, crafting, and creating special memories with those she loved.

Donna will be remembered for her sweet and kind heart, her selfless spirit, and her fun-loving personality. She was a jokester who enjoyed making others laugh and bringing happiness wherever she went. Donna was always willing to put the needs of others before her own and showed her love through countless acts of kindness.

Above all, Donna treasured her family. They were the greatest source of joy in her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her grandson, Chris Barnes III, held a special place in her heart and was truly her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy R. Davis; maternal grandparents, Lois and Oscar Justice; paternal grandparents, James and Jerry Davis; and her grandmother, Zelma Adams.

She is survived by her loving husband, Chris Barnes, Sr.; sons, Chris Barnes, Jr., JT Barnes, and Brandon Barnes; mother, Sue Davis; grandson, Chris Barnes III; sister, Kelley Sue Davis; special cousins, Leah Kilo and Sandra Kaplan; special friends, Monica West, Reagan Brown Beard, David Gregory, Wesley Hall, and Amy Smith Farmer.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2026, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating.
