Donald "Travis" McKamey, age 58, of Knoxville, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Travis will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who truly enjoyed life and the people around him. He loved spending time with his family, trying new foods, and visiting restaurants. Travis enjoyed listening to classic country and rock music and loved attending concerts whenever he could.

For many years, Travis worked in law enforcement, a career he was proud of and deeply enjoyed. In his free time, he could often be found sitting on the porch on a nice day, watching old classic movies and television shows.  He was also a lover of drinking his diet, Mountain Dew.  Travis was always ready for an adventure and never passed up the opportunity to try something new. His fun-loving personality, sense of humor, and appreciation for life will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy McKamey, and parents, Victor and Brenda Ann McKamey.

He is survived by his son, Victor McKamey & wife, Lexi; daughter, Jesi McKamey Homan & husband, Andrew; stepmother, Bobbie McKamey; brother, Jonathan McKamey & wife, Leslie; nephew, Kasen; grandchildren, Noah, Mason, Parker, Maci, Bryson, and Brayden; and special friends, John Branum & wife, Susan, Lisa Estepp & husband, Shawn, Cheryl Hutson, and Sheila Loy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, with a Celebration of Life service to follow in the chapel. Holley Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Holleygamble.com
