Donald Smith Butler went to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 24.  He was born on January 31, 1937, to Ocie and W.A. Butler.

Don was a lifelong entrepreneur who never met a stranger.  He was well known and well loved throughout Clinton, having spent the majority of his life here.  He could talk for hours about anything or nothing at all and loved nothing more than sitting on his front porch with his constant companion, Rocky, telling stories from the past, and always ending each conversation with, "Have a blessed day."

Proceeded in death by his parents and sister, daughter Milane and his loving wife Barbara, Don is survived by daughters, Heather Martin (Josh), Paige Williams (Mikael Carrier) and grandchildren, Bailey Whitfield (Jake) and Coleman Carrier; brother in law Steve Pemberton; and special friends and neighbors, Joe and Alicia Shelton and family and Joyce Rittenberry.

The family will receive friends at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, Clinton, TN, Thursday, July 31, 2025, 11:00-1:00, with a service at 1:00; interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Don's favorite cause.
