Obituary

With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Diana Lee Jenkins, who peacefully entered the presence of her Lord on June 27th,2026, surrounded by her husband and 7 children.

Diana was a devoted wife of 61 years , a loving mother, a treasured Mamaw, and a proud great-grandmother with all the chocolate and ice cream one could eat. Her greatest joy was caring for her family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She faithfully supported those she loved through every season of life, always offering a listening ear, a comforting hug, and wise encouragement. Her life goals were to raise her 7 children, always keeping secrets close to her heart, and, most importantly, to know that all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were saved!

Above all, Diana was a faithful Christian from the age of 16, whose relationship with Jesus Christ guided her life. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly, and she was a prayer warrior. She demonstrated her faith through kindness, compassion, generosity, , studying the Bible and through prayer. She was an example of grace and steadfast love to everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, strength, and devotion that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. While her family grieves her absence, they find comfort in knowing she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and is now reunited with loved ones who went before her.

She is survived by her beloved James Jenkins; her children, Lee Jenkins-Freels, Hope King, James Jenkins, April Manning, Patrick Jenkins, Erin Nivens, Keri Daughtery, and their spouses; her 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by Luther and Alma Ivey and James and Helen Jenkins.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30th 5:00-7:00 with service following. She will be laid to rest at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell on July 1st at 11:00. The lineup for procession to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens from Holly Gamble will begin at 10:00. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a remarkable woman whose love, faith, and gentle spirit touched countless lives.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in God’s promise of eternal life and knows they will see her again.

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” Psalm 119:165
