Denver Green, age 95 of Rocky Top, TN passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Summit View Health Care Center in Rocky Top. Denver was born on March 28, 1919 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Daniel Boone and Lutisha Cole Green. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in World War II and Pearl Harbor. Denver was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church. He worked for years as a coal miner and retired from maintenance with the Tennessee State Parks Service. Denver will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Denver is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Esene Robbins Green; brothers, Arnold, James, and Gus Green; Sisters, Estelle Carhart, Ora Luckadoo, Eleanor Melvon, Camilla Ledford, and Alephare Louis.

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev. Mike Foust officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10:15PM and go in funeral procession to the Campbell Memorial Gardens in Lafollette for an 11:00AM interment with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. www.holleygamblefh.com
