David Allen King, age 74 of Clinton, passed away at his home December 20, 2012. He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Alpha Lodge in Clinton and a member of the Scottish Rites of Knoxville. David retired from the TN Highway Patrol after 32 years of service. He enjoyed camping and fishing but his greatest enjoyment was his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was known as "gramps" to everyone who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Susie King; daughter, Susie King; Brother, Eugene King.

The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to Covenant Hospice staff and especially Janie Chambers for the loving and dedicated care that was provided to David.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 22nd from 5-7PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Larry Tilley.
