David Wayne Humphrey, age 58 of Andersonville, passed away suddenly Friday, November 9, 2018 at his residence in the arms of his wife.

David was employed with UCOR at K25.  He was an all-around outdoorsman who enjoyed Grouse hunting and fishing. His greatest love was of that of his family, being with his wife, son and grandchildren. He was a fun loving grandfather who enjoyed teaching his grandchildren mischief.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Patsy Viars Humphrey and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Conda Ridenour.

David is survived by his wife, Sheila; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Jessica Humphrey; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Rowan Humphrey; brothers, Ronnie (Debbie) Humphrey, Doug (Diane) Humphrey and Dean Humphrey; sister, Patricia Elkins; along with extended family members and too many special friends to name.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 12, 2018 from 5-7 PM in the Clinton Chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow at 7 PM.

Family and friends will meet Tuesday morning at 10 AM at the funeral home and proceed to New Home
Baptist Church Cemetery for interment at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
