John "David" Carter, Sr, age 63 of Heiskell, passed away January 21, 2013 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bailey B. Carter and Sadie Wetmore. Survivors include his wife, Linda T. Carter; son, John David Carter, Jr and Melissa; sister, Rev. Brenda and Larry Poole; step children, Carrie Hutcheson, David Barnett; grandchildren, Savannah, Maycin, Autumn, Saidie, Addacyn and Ember Carter; step grandchildren, Timothy and Tori Cunningham and Cameron Barnett; nephews, Michael and Steven Poole.

A memorial service for David will be announced at a later date.
