David L. Archer, age 68 of Clinton, passed away April 8, 2015, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Island Home Baptist Church where he was the church organist. David enjoyed playing the piano and singing and sung with many gospel groups. He was a retired nurse but did private care for many years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mae Marlow Archer; sisters, Helena Archer and Earlene Archer Bell; brothers, Rev. Dillard Archer, Vestel and Jimmy Archer.

Brother: Denny Archer and wife Marilyn of WV
Two nieces: Renee and Vanessa
Several nephews, great nieces and great nephews
Adopted mother: Cleo Brooks
Special friend and companion of 30 years: Kathey Anderson

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 11th from 12-2 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will begin at 2 o'clock in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dennis Galloway and Rev. Verlin Langford officiating. Interment will follow at Island Home Baptist Church cemetery.
