Darlene Ruth Brown, age 78, of Clinton, passed away at her residence on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Born on October 28, 1947, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Darlene was the daughter of the late Deward Jerome and Ruby Farris.

Darlene dedicated 35 years of her life to B&T Distributing in Knoxville, Tennessee. She retired after 35 years of committed service, leaving a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Darlene had a passion for sewing and crocheting that she took pride in for many years. She lovingly made numerous outfits for her family and loved sewing and making custom curtains. In addition to her creative pursuits, Darlene enjoyed family beach vacations and crossword puzzles.

Above all, Darlene cherished her family. The most important aspect of her life was the time spent with loved ones. She especially delighted in her love and affection for her grandchildren, finding immense joy in every moment she shared with them.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband William "Ernie" Brown; her children, Kendall Brown & wife Marion and DeAnna Clemmons; grandchildren, Cameron Clemmons, Cory Clemmons, and Brady Clemmons; sister, Sherry Gibson & husband Carl; nephews, Tim Gibson & wife Pam and Kevin Gibson & wife Kristi; great nephews, Taylor, Alec, Logan, & Ryan Gibson; great nieces, Leah, Rylei, and Kloei Gibson.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life service to follow in the chapel.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  Holleygamble.com
