With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Danny Wayne Braden, a devoted husband, beloved son, and distinguished veteran, who left this world on July 18, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on November 3, 1969, in Tazewell, Tennessee, Danny was the cherished son of Bobby Joe and Christine Braden.

Danny's life was a testament to dedication, bravery, and compassion. From a young age, he displayed a passion for serving others, a trait he carried throughout his life. He answered the call to serve his country with honor and distinction as a helicopter crew chief in the United States Army. Danny's service included participation in three wars: Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and Iraq. As a proud member of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Fort Campbell, KY, known as the U.S. Night Stalkers, he earned numerous accolades for his bravery and skill. His commendations included the National Defense Medal, Army Achievement Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Southeast Asia Service Medal with two bronze service stars, and the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, among many others.

Beyond his military accomplishments, Danny found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid enthusiast of the East Tennessee Corvette Club, where he shared his love for driving and camaraderie. His hobbies reflected his vibrant spirit; whether he was working outside, lifting weights at the gym, speeding down the road in his Corvette, hunting, or playing a round of golf, he embraced life with enthusiasm. Danny also shared a special bond with his brother as they ran an archery range together for years, creating cherished memories.

Danny was known for his light-hearted humor and was often regarded as a jokester, always willing to bring a smile to those around him. His willingness to help others was a defining characteristic that left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Renee Walker Braden, with whom he shared fifteen wonderful years, two of which they were happily married. Their partnership was a testament to love and devotion, creating a home filled with laughter and warmth.

Preceded in death by father, Bobby Joe Braden; and grandparents, Carl and Juanita Weaver.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Walker Braden; mother, Christine Braden; stepdaughters, Brooke Hunley and Britney Bailey (Daniel McCoy); brothers, Mike Braden (Sherry), and Bobby Joe Braden; grandchildren, Johnny Garner, Savannah Bailey, Boyd Bailey, and Rocky Bailey Jr.; nieces, Jessie Braden and Josie Braden; nephew, Austin Braden.

Services are as follows:

Visitation: Sunday, August 2nd, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Interment: Monday, August 3rd, at East Tennessee Veteran Cemetery, starting at 10:00 AM.
