Dana C. Terry of Caryville, Tennessee, in the Cherry Bottom Community, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at his home. He was born November 10, 1925 to the late Arlie & Alice Enix Terry. Dana was married to the late Lorena Roddy Terry for 39 years. They had four children together. Dana was saved in 1954 and belonged to Willow Brook Baptist Church for 37 years. He later joined Covenant Life Church in 1992. Dana served in the U. S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater for two years. He worked at Atomic Energy in Oak Ridge from 1946 to 1964 where he retired. From there he became a licensed contractor and built around 100 houses in Campbell & Anderson Counties. Dana served on the Campbell County Court for six years and was very proud of his achievements during that time. He also worked for Department of HUD as FHA Home Inspector for 15 years and also retired from there.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Roddy Terry; parents, Arlie & Alice Enix Terry; sisters, Lillian Adkins and Thelma Goodman.

Survivors: Children, Wayne Terry & wife Kathy, Larry Terry & wife Wanda, Karen Wheatley and Janet Terry. Grandchildren, terry & Lorena Wheatley, Devin Mielke and Paul O'Brian. Special person, Becky Terry whom he loved as a daughter. Ruth Aderson was his most loved and valued companion for 15 years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 6-8PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with Pastor Tony McAfee and Bro. Jerry Haynes officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, August 2oth at 11:00AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City is in charge of the arrangements.
