Dale Roberts McDonald, age 66, of the Claxton community, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Huntsville Manor. He was born on September 17, 1958 in Mansfield, Ohio.  Dale worked in the call center at Sears and was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marion Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Judy Herrell of Claxton; mother, Patricia McDonald Smith; sisters, Mary McBryar & husband, Milo and Yvonne Carmean & husband David; special friends, John and Barbara Porterfield daughter, Jody Ritchie; granddaughter, Alyssa Ritchie; 4 nephews; 1 niece.

The family will have a Celebration of Life for Dale at noon, Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Heiskell. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to the American Kidney Fund or the American Diabetes Association.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  holleygamble.com
