CLINTON, TN
Ton-Thi-Cuc, (Cookie) Duncan, age 65, of Clinton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 21, 2011.
Born in Saigon, South Vietnam in 1946, she emigrated to the United States in 1970 after marrying Jimmie Duncan of Clinton. Cookie, as she was known to her friends and family, was the beloved mother of Lisa A. Duncan of Knoxville and Jimmie Duncan, Jr., of Jamestown, North Carolina, and the adoring grandmother of Baylee Duncan of Clinton and Hannah Duncan of Jamestown. She had one nephew living in the area, Glenn Zink of Knoxville, and had many other nieces and nephews throughout the United States and Vietnam.
Cookie was pre-deceased by her parents Ton Van Tuoi and Nguyen Thi Long, her brother , Ton Van Nghia, all of Saigon, and her sister Lang Zink of Clinton.
She was employed by the Levi Strauss Company of Powell for seventeen years and recently retired from the Jewelry Television Company of Knoxville.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service that will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
