Clifton Ward, age 83 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1928 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Rev. Louise and Stella White Ward. Clifton was a member of the Laural Branch Baptist Church in Briceville. He enjoyed bluegrass music, watching westerns and taking care of his dogs. Clifton retired from the Ford Motor Company in Ohio after many years of service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Braden Ward; Sisters, Verda Ward and Randy Wilson; Son, James E. Ward; Daughter, Margaret L Ward.

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10:30AM and go in funeral procession to the Circle Cemetery for a 11:00AM interment.
