Clara King Stout, age 84, of Clinton Tennessee joined a celebration in heaven on 8/20/10. She was an active member of First Baptist, Clinton.
She loved living life to the fullest and was affectionately known as "the roadrunner" by her colleagues at JC Bradford. She was blessed to travel much of North America, the Caribbean and countries surrounding the Mediterranean. On her most recent trip to Ohio, in May, she was able to witness the birth of great-grandson Khaden. She loved to visit with friends and family, play games, and attend the activities of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Grover, son Guy, daughter Barbra Pratt, parents Eugene and Bonnie King, sister Pauline Lee, brother Joe King and granddaughter Kim.
She is survived by son Mark (Barbara) Stout, daughter Clarissa (Mark) Furlong, grandchildren Danny and Kim, Brittany and Michael, Amber and Saidi, Daniel and Danielle and Shawn. Great-grandchildren Derrick, Devin, Dustin, Josh, Lexie, Sydney and Khaden. Sister-in laws, Evy and Mildred Stout.
Clara was the matriarch of the family and was blessed with many caring and devoted family members. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the close friends who helped care for Granny; Jim and Alice Farmer and Roger and Amy Justice. Services will be held at Holley Gamble Funeral Home on 8/22/10. The family will receive friends from 1-3, with services following in the chapel with Rev. Stan Elliot, officiating.
