Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Jeffers, a cherished wife, mother, and friend, who left us peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on August 4, 1939, in Robbins, Tennessee, Christine was the beloved daughter of Arthur James Robbins and Evelyn Pemberton Robbins, who instilled in her a deep love for family and community.

Christine spent over fifty beautiful years devoted to her husband, Pete Jeffers, with whom she built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they created a home where love was the constant, and family was the heart.

A woman of many talents, Christine owned a successful cosmetology shop, where her clients became lifelong friends, and her touch brought out the beauty in everyone she encountered. She was also an active member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton, TN, and a proud member of the Eastern Star, where her kindness and commitment were felt by all.

Christine had a passion for baking and decorating cakes, crafting edible works of art that were as delightful to the eyes as they were to the palate. Her love for music was equally profound; she found joy in singing and playing the piano, filling her home and church with melodies that resonated with her faith and spirit.

An exceptional homemaker, Christine was devoted to her family and cherished the time spent with them. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, where she shared her love of cooking, and her heart was the center for family gatherings and celebrations. Her dedication extended beyond her home, as she organized Vacation Bible School at Poplar Creek Baptist Church, demonstrating her love for teaching and nurturing young minds. She adored her Sunday School class at Second Baptist Church, where her faith and love for others shone brightly.

Christine's life was a testament to her generous spirit and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her legacy will continue in the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by the countless lives she touched with her grace and kindness.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents. her beloved husband, Pete Jeffers; and brothers, Milford Robbins, David Robbins, and John Robbins.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Hope (Franklin) Hollis, Ruth Byrd, and Greg Jeffers; grandchildren, Kristen Swift, F.G. Hollis, and Spencer Byrd.
