Charles K. Yarnell went to see his Heavenly Father and his loved ones that preceded him on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Charles worked as an Electrical Lineman and in the Service Department for Clinton Utilities Board and retired after 45 years of company service. Upon his retirement, Charles focused on farming. He loved caring for his cattle and growing vegetables for the ones he loved. Charles was a Farmer at heart whose life was rooted in the soil, the seasons, and the people he loved. Whether tending his fields at sunrise or sharing stories at sunset, he found peace and purpose in the simple, honest work of the land.

Charles is survived by a loving ex-wife, Brenda Yarnell, whose enduring friendship remained an important part of his life; a devoted sister, Mary Ann Bullock, who stood by him through his life; a son, Chris Yarnell, who was his greatest pride; two cherished grandchildren, Lilly and Logan Yarnell who brought him endless laughter and joy; and numerous cousins.

Charles was known for his quiet strength, gentle humor, and deep respect for hard work. His legacy lives on in the fields he worked, the values he passed down, and the family who will carry his memory forward with love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the church he belonged to, South Clinton Baptist Church, or the Clinton High School Future Farmers of America Club (Charles was a former FFA President).

Receiving of Friends will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Roger Pugh officiating. Family and friends will meet at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery the following day for a Graveside service beginning at 11:00 am.
