Celdon Glenn Medaris Lewallen, of Clinton passed away July 31, 2012. Celdon was born in Clinton, TN on March 7, 1921. She was the daughter of Glenn and Cora Medaris.
Glenn Medaris ran a local pharmacy and also served as the mayor of Clinton. She is
preceded in death by her husband Judge William Buford Lewallen, a prominent Judge and lawyer in Clinton. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Dancy Lewallen Jones.

She is survived by her step grandchildren, Sherry Terry and Les Jones and her step great grandchildren, Patrick and Anna Terry and Eleanor and Townes Jones. She is also survived by lifelong friends, Margaret Eager and Shirley Pointer.

Celdon taught school for many years at Clinton High School and also taught home bound students in what was known at that time as Coal Creek. Celdon loved to travel. She and her husband traveled all over the world with the Tennessee Bar Association. She was a member of the Memorial Methodist Church in Clinton. She served on many local committees and participated in clubs such as the Garden Club, Wednesday Club, and Timely Topics. She also served on the Board of Directors for Cumberland College.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 5-7 pm at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral service will be in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Friday, August 3rd at 10:00 am with Rev. Laurence Hesser officiating. Graveside services to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
