Carolyn E. Purdy, age 54 of Clinton, passed away December 8, 2013 at her home. She was a fun loving and generous lady and always willing to help others. She enjoyed athletics, sewing, gardening, and reading poetry. Carolyn had a love for animals and enjoyed their company.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joseph Purdy; parents, Creed Cook and Mary Brummett Bradshaw; brother, Ralph David Cook.

Daughter: Valorie Christa Purdy Cole and husband Phillip, Jr.

Nephew: Gary Cook, II

Nieces: Amy Perkins, Katherine Barnes, Amanda Hall, Brandy Berrier and Michelle Slaven

Grt. nephew and niece: Kyle and Alyssa Perkins


The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 10th from 11-1PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be at 1 o'clock. Graveside service will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
