Carol June Harold, age 87, of Norris, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Morning Point Assisted Living in Clinton.  Carol was born to the late Lester and Ruth Wray on August 29, 1937, in Pontiac, Michigan.  Carol met the love of her life, her husband Monte, in 1958 while attending the University of Michigan.  Carol and Monte married on October 22, 1960, and had three children: Eric, Kristen and Scott.  Before they were married Carol worked for Proctor and Gamble traveling the country doing market research. When the children were grown she prepared taxes with H&R Block.

Carol enjoyed living in Norris and was active in many organizations: she was the treasurer for the area food pantry, the Historical Society and the Women's club of Norris; she was an active bridge player, and volunteered at the Norris Elementary School library. For a number of years she was a Pink Lady with the Knoxville St. Mary's Hospital.  Carol loved reading and was active in various book groups over the years. But most of all she was dedicated to her church, the Norris United Methodist, where she provided leadership and contributions to many efforts.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Eric Harold. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Monte Harold of Norris; children, Kristen Delaney and husband Shawn of Knoxville and Scott Harold of Knoxville; grandchildren, Chandler Smith and husband Travis, Cory Boshears, Abigail Harold, Isabella Harold, and Cecelia Harold; sister, Sandra Collins and husband Louis of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.

Carol will be buried at Norris Memorial Garden, and her family will have a Celebration of Life service 11:00am on May 17, 2025, at the Norris United Methodist Church in Norris.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Norris Area Food Pantry or the Norris Library.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  holleygamble.com
