Carlos J. Stringfield, 75, of Chesapeake, VA formerly of Anderson County went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2015.
Born in Anderson County, TN, he was the son of the late L. Stringfield and Ruth G. Stringfield. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Abrahams. He retired as Body Shop Manager from Brentwood Auto Body after 47 years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Gideons, Awana Leader and a lay minister at Parson Nursing Home.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruth L. Stringfield; two daughters, Melissa Stringfield and husband Ron and Helen Cunningham and husband Tom; son, Jason Everette and wife Kristin; sister, Desta Holder; four brothers, Millard, Cecil, Ken and Jack Stringfield; eleven grandchildren, Wesley, Trevor, Zachary, Allie, Tommy, Lauren, Lindsey, Kylee, Jacob, Lance and Luke; and great granddaughter, Jasmine.
The family will receive friends 3:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Monday at Stringfield Cemetery with Rev. Robert Combs officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gideons or Temple Baptist Church Mission Fund, 1322 N. George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake, VA 23323.
