Joel Cannon Elkins went home to be with the Lord Sunday March 2nd, 2025. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. He loved his family with all his heart and soul and if you met him he became your friend for life. Cannon would drop anything he was doing to help someone out. He worked hard to provide for his family and loved them dearly. One of his most favorite things to do was anything pertaining to hunting or fishing with his kids, family and friends and spending all the time he could with his wife and kids. He left behind a slew of family and friends that loved him dearly.

Cannon was preceded in death by his grandparents James Michael and Ruby Elkins, James and Pat Humphrey, and several Uncles and Aunts that he loved dearly. He was also preceded in death by his baby that he never got a chance to meet in 2010.

Cannon is survived by his wife of 15 years Candice Wyatt Elkins and his four children Mason Fields, Caiden Elkins, Haylee Elkins, and Logan Elkins. His mother Patty Elkins of Andersonville, Joe (Vickie) Elkins of Heiskell, Sister Kelly (Grant) Andrews of Andersonville. Nephews and Nieces  Cody Andrews, Makayla (Anthony) Koscinski, Kason Hansard, Bentley Wyatt, Justin Wyatt, and Annistyn Wyatt and Brylynn Johnson. Great Nephew and Nieces Zeke and Mia Koscinski.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00PM with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Justin Howard and Rev. Doyle Flatford officiating. Family and friends will go in funeral procession to New Home Baptist Church Cemetery for Cannon's interment following the funeral service. www.holleygamble.com
