Obituary


Byron Trammell, age 79 of Jefferson City, passed away February 5, 2014. He grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School where he was very active in all sports. He was a founding member of Clinton Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran. Byron retired from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching and fishing. He had a love for music and loved to sing and play his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ohlen B. and Hazel Hendrix Trammell; wife, Barbara Stone Trammell; son, Kerry Trammell.

Survivors:

Wife: Rita Trammell

Daughter: Danette Waites and husband Mat

Stepson: Brian Azar and wife Carolyn

Daughter in-law: Leslie Trammell

Brother: Bill Chapman

Sister: Margie Cajaj

Grandchildren: Wil Waites, Elizabeth Parrish and husband Landon, Benjamin Waites, Hayley and Robert Hunt

Step grandchildren: Rory and Cain Azar

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 6th from 6-8 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be Friday, February 7th at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Lot Therro officiating. Graveside will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
