Bobbie J. York, 60, of Claxton, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2024, after battling lung cancer.

Bobbie was born on April 26, 1964, to the late Oscar and Wilma Webber. Beloved wife of 41 years to James E. York; proud and loving mother of three children James W. York (Lori Dunaway), Sarah E. York (Jason Cruz), and Michael E. (Torrie) York; ten grandchildren Chance Ballard, Hannah Ballard, Jayden Whitt, Nolan Silva, Kailyn Roach, Alexia York, Brooklyn York, Madison York, Taylor Dunaway and the late Nevaeh Ballard; dear sister of Robbie Bunch, Mary Vowell, Charles Webber, Danny Webber, the late Joyce Webber; dear sister-in-law to Bunny York, William York, Melissa Tuck, and the late Sarah Mence and Tammy Davis.

Bobbie spent most of her life in her nursing career helping senior citizens. Bobbie's love for her husband, children, and grandchildren was immeasurable. She was not just a mother to her own but a nurturing figure to many. Her love for helping others and her fierce protection of her family were the cornerstones of her life. Bobbie's love for the beach, country music, and westerns reflected her vibrant spirit.

The family will receive friends and celebrate Bobbie's life from 5:00-7:00 pm, Monday, September 16, 2024, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home.  Her service will immediately follow in the chapel. In place of flowers, we invite you to honor Bobbie's memory by donating to the American Cancer Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Your contribution will not only be a tribute to Bobbie's life but also a significant step towards supporting those in need.
