Bobbie Jean Miller, 83, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center after a brief illness. She will be remembered as a fun and loving Wife, Mother, Nana and Sister.
Bobbie was a life-long resident of Clinton, Tennessee. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Lyn Miller. She was the sole surviving child of Arthur Nelson and Georgia Voyles McGill. Her late siblings were Arthur Nelson McGill, Jr. Ralph Nelson McGill and Edna McGill Cox.
She is survived by her children: Rebecca Miller Barie and husband, John, of St. Petersburg, Florida, Robert Lyn Miller and wife, Jimmie, of Kingsport, Tennessee and Suzanne Miller Stewart and husband, Steve, of Knoxville; her grandchildren Rebecca Miller Spivey and her husband, Matthew, Benjamin Lyn Miller, Mollie Claire Miller, William Lyn Stewart, Jackson Robert Stewart, and Maggie Elizabeth Stewart; great-grandchildren: Miller Alan Spivey and Mabel Claire Spivey, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. A graveside ceremony will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton on Friday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Sam Dean, former pastor at First Baptist Church, Clinton and Dr. Marvin Cameron, pastor at First Baptist Church, Kingsport officiating.
