Bobbie Jean Foster Dishman born December 6, 1934 in Brentwood, GA to Walter and Ruby Wood Foster, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2026.

After moving to TN as a child with her family, Jean met and then married the love of her life, Boyd Dishman on Christmas day, 1955.  They spent the next 50 years raising kids, grandkids (and quite a few dogs!) in Clinton TN until moving to Kingsport in 2005 to be closer to family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother who fiercely loved her family.  She loved so big you never doubted it.  She gave her whole life to her family.  She cared deeply, she spoiled us, she loved us, unconditionally.  Her most famous words to us were "You're mine…"

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the caregivers at The Wexford House and Amedisys Hospice in Kingsport who so lovingly took care of "Bobbie" for the past several years. Your contribution to her care and life were invaluable to us and we appreciate all of you tremendously.

Bobbie Jean is preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings.  She is survived by her daughter Linda, her son Mark and wife Beth, granddaughter Miranda and husband Seth, grandson Tyler and fiancée Athena, all of Kingsport, granddaughter Lacey and fiancée Alexander of Boston, MA, grandson Joshua Childs, as well as great grandsons Cutler Childs, Shaun Stout and great granddaughter Emi Stout of Kingsport. She had several loving nieces and nephews who were very special to "Aunt Jean" as well.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday May 8, 2026 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN, followed by the funeral at 8pm in the chapel at Holley Gamble.  The graveside service will be Saturday May 9th at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
