Billy Jean Evans, 90 years of age, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026. Born on November 10, 1935, to Leland and Lois Evans. Bill was a dedicated husband and father known for building many of our community's offices, churches, and schools. He was an avid fisherman who loved fishing our local lakes and in Canada.

He is survived by daughter Christie Sheriff, son Darrell Evans, son- in- law Jeff Sheriff, daughter- in- law Celeste Evans, grandchildren, Brianna Vinyard, Evan MacIntyre, Whitley McLaughlin; great- grandchildren, Noah Vinyard, Ellis, and Reese MacIntrye; brothers, Hugh Von Evans, Kenneth Evans, Tommy Evans, Jimmy Evans, and Ronald Evans; special friends Denise Sissom, Jeannie Gregory, and Lori Brown, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in life by wife Mary Ruth Evans, Parents Leland and Lois Evans, Brothers Clifford Evans, Twin Brother Bob Evans, Donald Evans, and Larry Evans.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow in the chapel.
