Billie Elizabeth Leinart Queener, age 68 of Clinton passed away June 7, 2011 at her home following many years of illness. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Billie was graduated from Clinton High School in 1961 and then attended Knoxville Business College. She started her career working in the medical records department of Oak Ridge Hospital and worked several years for Dr. William Pugh. She finished her career with the U. S. Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Division from which she retired. Billie had a variety of interests which included sewing, knitting and reading. She also sold Tupperware and performed party catering.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James W. Queener; her parents, William Mitchell and Reva Beets Lienart; her brothers, James L. Hensley and Orville "Tony" Hensley; and Edsel and sister-in-law Dorothy Jo Lienart; and sister Anna Leinart Gross.

She is survived by sisters, Phyllis Jean Leinart Simpelaar and husband Jan of Arizona and Evelyn Brogan-Quarto of California; sisters-in-law, Mary Hensley Muellar and husband Lorrie of Nebraska; and Sue Hensley of Lenoir City; brothers-in-law, Bob Queener and wife and Tom Queener and wife of Clinton; sister-in-law Patsy Lovett of Michigan and sister-in-law, Jessica Queener of Clinton; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to express its thanks to special friends Elain Patterson, her care giver for past several years, Steve "Tubby" Small, Brady and Maggie Dotson, Vic Patterson, Amedisys Home Healthcare and Hospice Care.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 6-8PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow in the chapel at 8:00PM with Rev. officiating.
