Rev. Bill Dawson, age 75 went home rejoicing with his heavenly Father on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019.  He was born June 1, 1943 in Blount County, Tennessee to the late Edgar "Bud" and Laura Dawson.  Bill served in the Army from 1964-1970.  Bill pastored several churches in the Anderson County area for over thirty years.  The last church Bill pastored was Poplar Creek Baptist Church for 14 years.  He was a faithful member of 2 ^nd Baptist Church in Clinton.  Bill worked for C.U.B. for 44 years with co-workers he considered family.  He was preceded in death by parents, Edgar "Bud" & Laura Dawson; brother, Jerry Dawson.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home.  His Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel with Rev.
