Obituary


Bill Timothy Ballew, of Clinton born December 28, 1944 joined the cloud of witness' August 13, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He attended Lake City Christian Fellowship Church and was very active in his church. Tim ministered to everyone he came in contact with and touched many lives, some he didn't even know about. He strived to follow in Jesus' footsteps and be a man of God. He was involved in the Boys Club of Oak Ridge as a youth and continued to stay in contact through his friend and mentor, Lawrence Haun. Mr. Ballew retired from BellSouth and went on to own and operate his own business, Cornerstone Construction, where he believed in and worked by his logo, "IT'S AMAZING WHAT ONE MAN DID WITH 1 HAMMER, 3 NAILS AND 2 PIECES Of WOOD IN 3 DAYS".

Mr. Ballew was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Beulah Ballew; daughter, Melissa Lynette Taylor; brothers, Reno "Jesse James" and Gene Emmett Ballew; Special niece, Kelly Noe Wallace; Special mother in-law, Maurice Stooksbury, "Toots"

He is survived by his wife, Judy Ballew; daughters, Stephanie Ballew Duff and husband, Charles and daughter, Sarah Beth Duff; Tammy Ballew Conger and husband, David and children, Tessa Buck, Hayley Lemmons, Savannah and Emily Shropshire; Suzie Ellis and her son James Ellis; Son, Brian David Scarbrough; Grand-daughter, Amber Taylor Hooks and children, Reece and Addie Hooks; brother, Jack Ballew and wife, Jane; sister, Pat Noe and husband, Glenn; a host of special nieces and nephews along with many dear and special friends.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 1:30pm at Lake City Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Justin Phillips officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Bill Ballew Family, C/o Lake City Christian Fellowship Church, 160 Straight Way Rd., Lake City, TN. 37769.
