Beverly Jean Parks, age 68 of Heiskell, died Thursday Dec.1, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Edward Parks and Virginia Lee Parks of Sperry, OK, brother Howard Lee Parks of Tulsa, OK and brother Daniel Edward Parks of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. Beverly was an avid bowler, loving mother and grandmother. She always kept her Cherokee Indian roots close to her heart. You would find her either always making crafts, outside collecting feathers or writing poems on leather in calligraphy. She enjoyed softball, volunteer work and spending time with her family. Her humor and laughter always brought smiles and lifted the spirits to anyone she was around. She will always and forever be missed but never forgotten. Beverly is survived by her daughters Rebecca Tibbs Peterson and husband Tony Peterson of Caryville, TN, Charlotte Tibbs Helton and husband Matt Helton of Wartburg, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cody Goodman and wife Monica Goodman, Madison Peterson, Chantelle Goodman, Alexus Peterson, Ethan Helton and Matt Jackson as well as many cousins, close friends and other family. A memorial service will be held at New Life Ministry, Jacksboro, TN 37757, Friday December 9th, 2016 at 7:00 pm for family and friends.
