Betty L. Marlow, age 81, of Clinton, exchanged the pain and confusion of this earthly life, for eternal peace and comfort with the Lord on November 18, 2016. She was a faithful member of Shultz Hollow Baptist Church and enjoyed attending church and church singings until her health began to decline.

She was preceded in death by her beloved Mother, Jennie L. Vowell, her devoted daughter, Vickie R. Marlow, her loving husband of 60+ years, Tommy L. Marlow, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Iva (Tinker) Marlow of Clinton, brother-in-law Jack Burnette of Clinton, sister-in-laws Marty J. Marlow of Clinton, Mary Sue Marlow of Frost Bottom, and Emma Sue Bumgardner of Rocky Top, special friends Lorene Leinart of Clinton and Wilma Jean Bullock of Clinton, and many nieces and nephews and other friends and family.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 5-7PM with the funeral service to follow at 7PM with the Rev. Charlie Mac Marlow officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 1PM at Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Avalon Hospice for their tender care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/donate.
