Betty Mae Lay, age 88 of Clinton, passed away April 25, 2012 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a long time member of Church of Christ in Clinton. Betty established and helped many Church of Christ churches throughout Tennessee during her life. Betty loved to shop and her favorite things were handbags and shoes. She was known for her beautiful blue eyes. She was a very giving lady and never met a stranger.

Services were held for Mrs. Lay on April 27, 2012, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
