Betty J. (Judy) Kennedy Warner, WARNER, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was a Methodist and a member of Sinking Springs Methodist Church. Preceded in death by mother and step-father, Annie L. and Melvin C. Jenkins; father David G. Kennedy; sister A. Faye Kennedy; brother, Ronald M. Jenkins; late husband, James R. Orasky. She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Warner; son Mark S. King and wife Debbie of Huntsville, AL; daughter Sherri (King) Manuputty; and step-son Burton L. Warner, of Los Angeles, California. Granddaughters, Madison Grace Manuputty and Emily Ruth King. She is also survived by brother, and his wife, Vernon and Joyce Jenkins of Lenoir City, a large extended family and former husband, Bill J. King. Eloise Perry, Nancy Bessler, Janet Kile, Shirley Pridemore, Josie Tucker and Gail Sweeden she considered very special friends.
She is a graduate of Knoxville Business College and retired from Oak Ridge Associated Universities. Mrs. Warner enjoyed quilting and helped start the Ritzy Thimble Quilters Guild in Oak Ridge with three of her friends which has now grown to 70. She enjoyed reading and working with her hands and attended many classes and seminars. The birth of her granddaughters Madison and Emily she considered an extra special blessing, as well as twin grandsons, Jack Evan and Kane Adi Manuputty who passed away in 2000.
Judy touched many lives with her infectious upbeat enthusiasm and "can do" attitude. She was selfless, a caretaker and a rock to others. She was loved by her friends and family. She will be missed.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 5-7PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Reverend Wayne Hedrick officiating. The burial will be private. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. www.holleygamble.com
