Betty Sue Elliott Herrell Hill, 74, of Powell, TN, went to sleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus on the evening of September 30, 2011 with her loving family at her bedside. Betty was proceeded in death by husband James T. Hill; parents, Harvey and Minnie Elliott; daughter, Peggy and husband Bob Hawkins; grandson, Jamie Lynn Herrell; and sister, Dorothy Stringfield. Survived by son, Donnie Herrell and Nina Carter; daughter, Pamela Bray. Grandchildren, Robbie Herrell and wife Kristin; Scotty Herrell and wife Andrea; Robert Hawkins and wife Angie; Bethany and Brandon Bray. Great grandchildren; Brooklynn, Sydney, and Jaxon Herrell, Ariana and Addison Herrell, Destiny Farmer and Tanner Scott. Step-children; Fred Hill and wife Brenda; Glen Hill and wife Linda, and Lonnie Hill and wife Diane. Step-grandchildren; Charlene, Willie, Tim, Missy, Tyra, Lindsay, Brad, and Brandi. Former daughter-in-law, Sharon Herrell Hill and a host extended family and friends. Our family would like to thank Sharon Herrell Hill and Nina Carter for all of the dedication and care you have shown Betty over the years of her life, we greatly appreciative.

Family will receive friends on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 6-8PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 8:00PM
Graveside services will be Tuesday, 11:00AM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
