Betty Joe Halcomb Cook, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 6, 2014. She was born December 11, 1933 in Lynch, Kentucky and was a member of Hurricane Gap Old Regular Baptist Church. Betty loved watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Preceded in death by husband, William Cook; parents, Dewey & Mattie Halcomb.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel. Rev. Donnie Adkins officiating. Her graveside will be 2:00 pm, Monday at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Mission of Hope, Knoxville, TN.
