Obituary

Betty Ruth Bryant, age 87, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her residence on the morning of July 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on June 29, 1939, in Morristown, Tennessee, to the late Clarence and Verna Ketner.

Betty was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She was a lifelong and faithful member of South Clinton Baptist Church, where she dearly loved worshipping and spending time with her church family. She found great comfort, strength, and joy in reading her Bible and living out her faith through the love and kindness she showed to others. Betty touched many lives and will be remembered for her warm, loving spirit.

While Betty enjoyed reading, sewing, ceramics, and tending to her flowers, nothing meant more to her than her family. She loved and cherished them above everything else and treasured every opportunity to be together. Family game nights were especially meaningful to her, filling her home with laughter, friendly competition, and countless memories that her loved ones will forever hold dear.

For many years, Betty faithfully served her community through her work with the Anderson County Circuit Court.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, David Bryant; sisters, Jean Breazeal, Jerri Adams, Mary Sue Smith, and Tonia Ketner; and brother, Clarence R. Ketner.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Bryant, Gayle Brown and husband Tracy, Denise Sissom and husband David, Stephanie Brock and husband Joe, and Laura Garrett; grandchildren, Tessa Powell, Anthony Simonds and wife Katie, Cynthia George and husband Shawn, Elizabeth Davis and husband Austin, Bryant Sissom and wife Drew, Victoria Difelice and husband Anthony, Joseph Brock, Jacob Brock, and MaKayla Garrett; great-grandchildren, Morgan Powell, Ryleigh and Kaladin Simonds, Alexis McConnell and husband Alex, Ellanor Davis, JoAnna Davis, Kaidence George, Peyton George, Brynna George, Roman Sissom, and Tripp Difelice; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
