Betty J Bramlette age 82 of Clinton, TN passed away February 5, 2026 at Tennova North Health Center.

Betty loved the Lord, and was very active in her church before her illness. She loved her family and everyone she met. She was nicknamed "smiley" at Norris Rehab where she spent the last 3 years of her life. She was an avid Vol fan, and would watch the games whenever she could.

She loved coke zero, and knew the difference if we bought Pepsi instead. She adored Cades Cove, and spent a lot of time up there. She loved Big Ed's Pizza, and we would take her every year on her birthday. She was a great cook and taught me her secret hotdog chili recipe, which everyone loves and has me make at all family functions. Even when she wouldn't eat towards the end, she would always eat a Git N Go hotdog.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Louise Kennedy; husband, Carrol J Bramlette; son, Charles E Bramlette; son, Douglas Carrol Bramlette; brothers, James, Robert, Henry and Earl; sisters, Billie, Shirley, Caroline. Also brother-in-law, Kenneth R Helms.


She is survived by her son, James B Bramlette (Gail) of Clinton, TN; sister, Janice Knox of Corbin, KY; also a special niece, Camillia Howells (Ernie) of Corbin, KY; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was often referred to as Mamaw Betty by many of the neighborhood children, and she loved to hear that.


Receiving of friends for Betty will be Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN from 6-8 pm. There will be a private burial at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.


I also want to give a thank you to the staff at Norris Health and Rehab for the care and love they gave mom the last three years of her life.
